1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 S/N 10583

Bacchelli & Villa was entrusted with the restoration of this 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 with the objective of returning the car to the appearance and craftsmanship standards originally envisioned by Ferrari and Pininfarina. The project focused on preserving the integrity of one of Maranello's most celebrated grand touring models through a meticulous body and paint restoration executed using traditional Italian coachbuilding techniques.

The restoration began with a complete disassembly of the vehicle, removing all mechanical, electrical, and trim components to expose the bare body structure. Following a detailed inspection, the body shell was stripped to reveal its underlying condition, allowing the team to identify and correct imperfections accumulated over decades of use. Each stage of the metalwork process was carried out with careful reference to factory specifications, ensuring that the original proportions, panel fit, and character lines of the 275 GTB/4 were faithfully preserved.

Particular attention was devoted to the defining elements of the model's design, including the sculpted front fenders, flowing roofline, and muscular rear haunches that contribute to the car's unmistakable silhouette. Extensive hand-finishing was performed throughout the restoration to maintain the elegance and balance of Pininfarina's original design while achieving the precision expected of a concours-level presentation.

Following completion of the bodywork, the shell underwent multiple stages of epoxy protection, high-build primer application, and guide-coat sanding. Every surface was block-sanded by hand to ensure uniformity and accuracy before refinishing. The car was then painted in Verde Acqua Metallizzato, a rare and highly significant period Ferrari color notably associated with Battista Pinin Farina's personal 275 GTB. Extensive color matching and test-panel development were undertaken to accurately recreate the depth and character of the original finish while utilizing modern refinishing technology.

After curing, the paintwork was progressively wet-sanded and polished by hand to achieve exceptional clarity and consistency across every panel and contour. The completed restoration reflects Bacchelli & Villa's commitment to traditional craftsmanship, combining coachbuilding expertise, careful research, and attention to detail to return this Ferrari 275 GTB/4 to a standard worthy of its historical and aesthetic significance.
