In the rarefied world of Ferrari scholarship and concours-level restoration, few names carry the authority of Bacchelli & Villa. Now, in partnership with Modena-based Artioli Editore, the renowned restoration atelier has unveiled the 275 Book, a limited-edition tribute to one of Maranello’s most revered grand tourers.
Published to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Ferrari 275, the 275 Book arrives at a moment when the global collector car market continues to mature, placing increasing emphasis on provenance, documentation, and period-correct authenticity. Produced between 1964 and 1968 by Ferrari, the 275 redefined the balance between competition-derived engineering and grand touring refinement, cementing its status as one of the most influential Ferraris ever built.
Limited to 1,275 copies and spanning 275 pages, the volume opens with a personal foreword from Piero Ferrari, drawing from memories with his father Enzo Ferrari. The book also features a comprehensive, period-correct color catalogue; previously unseen original factory production and technical documents; and a special appearance by Charles Leclerc, Scuderia Ferrari driver and 275 owner, photographed with his own example.
A dedicated archival section chronicles every 275 produced in GTB, GTS, and NART Spider configuration. Each chassis is identified by number, Maranello approval date, and its original exterior and interior color scheme, illustrated with a side-profile silhouette. A QR code provides access to a private digital area reserved exclusively for book owners, reinforcing the publication’s blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern curation.
“Bacchelli & Villa is the restoration shop that I own with my father, and along with Artioli Editore, we made this 275 Book because we did more than 90 restorations of 275 – which I think must be a world record,” Enzo Mattioli Ferrari, CEO of Bacchelli & Villa and great-grandson of Enzo Ferrari, told podcast duPont REGISTRY Talks. “We wanted to celebrate the 60th anniversary, and it’s also the first Ferrari that my grandfather worked on – it’s a car that really stands out. The classic car market is gaining momentum, and Bacchelli & Villa have a tangible opportunity to preserve the legacy and knowledge of one of the most prolific models in Ferrari’s history.
“It was a journey, because it took us two years to complete the book,” he added. “It’s not just a coffee table book, not just something nice to have in your hands, but it’s a full compendium on the car. We hope the 275 Book will cultivate a continued fascination for the model among the automotive community and highlight the craftsmanship and provenance that is essential to preserve classic cars.”
The first copy, signed by Enzo Mattioli Ferrari, sold for $19,200 during an RM Sotheby’s auction at Cavallino Palm Beach, with proceeds benefiting The Cavallino Classic Foundation.
Founded in 1972, this book from Bacchelli & Villa has underscored its position as a global authority on the preservation of this limited-production icon. For more details click here, and to pre-order your copy, click here.
